WNY organiza un almuerzo de Halloween para personas mayores

The Administration of West New York Mayor Gabriel Rodriguez was thrilled to be able to provide a Halloween luncheon for the senior citizen community after a two year postponement due to COVID.  Approximately 400 seniors, many in costume, were treated to a fabulous lunch with music on Saturday afternoon at the Memorial Freshman Academy.

The event enabled seniors to reconnect with friends they may not have seen for two years due to the pandemic.  A hot lunch was provided, Latin music was played and everyone had a wonderful time at the three hour event.

              According to Mayor Gabriel Rodriguez and the Board of Commissioners, Saturday’s free event was made possible because of the precautions the town has taken over the last two years, ensuring residents got vaccinated and boosted against the COVID virus.  The Mayor also added he looks forward to hosting future gatherings for other holidays.

              West New York has been hosting a senior citizen, Halloween luncheon for at least forty years.

Municipal employees, students from Memorial High School and members of the junior police volunteered their time to help serve the food on Saturday afternoon.  Saturday’s senior citizen Halloween luncheon was provided to local residents free of charge.
