Two people were arrested on Sunday afternoon in Bayonne for drug possession. According to Capt. Eric Amato, 40-year old Christi M. James of Roselle Street in Linden and 62-year old John Mendola of Avenue E in Bayonne, were taken into custody at 4:46 pm in the area of Hook Road.
James has been charged with possession of heroin, a controlled dangerous substance, plus narcotics paraphernalia. In addition, she was charged with four, outstanding warrants; one each from the Rahway and Roselle Municipal Courts, plus two from the Elizabeth Municipal Court. She was taken to the Hudson County Jail.
Mendola was charged with possession of PCP, also a controlled dangerous substance. He was issued a summons.
