Hoboken Police captured 42-year old Peter Perez of Hoboken last week for stealing packages from 100 Marshall Street on Wednesday, January 26 at approximately 5:20 pm.  According to Detective Sergeant Jonathan Mecka, when Detectives Ryan Houghton and Michael Losurdo entered the building, they observed opened packages and a male who they recognized as Perez.

The two detectives were aware that Perez had active, open warrants stemming from burglary incidents that occurred in October, December and January.

Upon approaching him, he complied with the detectives’ orders and they safely placed him under arrest. During a search the detectives discovered burglar tools and drug paraphernalia.  Additionally, they were able to recover a stolen package that Perez placed in his book bag.  While at headquarters, Perez was processed on four separate burglaries (1 in October, 1 in December and 2 in January).

He has been charged with burglary, possessing burglary tools, theft, drug paraphernalia, and three failure to appear in court warrants.  Perez was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny.
