UCHS HOSA Club Sponsors Blood Drive

The HOSA Club at Union City High School sponsored a blood drive in collaboration with the American Red Cross on Friday.  The event was well attended, as members of the school community and the general public donated much needed blood supplies.

The relationship between the high school and the Red Cross goes back many years, as HOSA has been sponsoring blood drives for at least twelve years.

The Club sponsors two blood drives every year.  One takes place in the fall while the other is held during the spring.

HOSA Club President Emily Duran thanked all the people who donated, while giving a shout out to her Club members and Principal Ryan Lewis for successfully setting up another event.

American Red Cross representative Gaby Cucu told Hudson TV that the organization appreciates everything that Union City High School, the Board of Education and the student members of the HOSA Club do to generate interest in the importance of blood donations.
