Los CDC dicen que las personas que se muestran positivas para COVID-19, pero no tienen síntomas, solo tienen que aislarse durante 5 días

Even though COVID case numbers have skyrocketed in recent weeks across America, a new guideline was announced today by the Centers For Disease Control pertaining to people who test positive for COVID-19, but are asymptomatic.  They no longer have to isolate for ten days.  The new guideline is five days.

The CDC said Monday that the change was made due to growing evidence that the most infectious period is the two days before and three days after symptoms develop.  What else does this mean?

Anyone who was in close contact with the positive test person only has to quarantine for five days.  That will then be followed by strict mask usage for an additional five days for those who are unvaccinated, or six months out from their second COVID vaccination.

People who are vaccinated and have received a booster shot do not need to quarantine at all, but they must wear a mask for 10 days after being exposed.

The CDC statement also says, “For all those exposed, best practice would also include a test for SARS-CoV-2 at day 5 after exposure.”
