Newly sworn in, 32nd District Democratic Assemblyman John Allen of Hoboken, has received his committee assignments from Speaker Craig Coughlin.
Allen will be serving on three committees: Housing; Financial Institutions and Insurance; and Tourism, Gaming and the Arts.
Allen, who represents all of Hoboken and a portion of Jersey City, stated, “These committee assignments will give me the opportunity to work on a range of issues that are important to the people of Hoboken and Jersey City as well as New Jersey as a whole. My seat on the Housing Committee, for example, will enable me to advocate and advance measures to making housing more affordable.”
