El sospechoso acusado de asesinato
Joseph Del Valle, a resident of Hoboken, has been charged with Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Del Valle was apprehended at an address on Summit Avenue in Jersey City and has been transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting his initial court appearance.

In a related development, Francisco Salcedo, a 42-year-old Jersey City resident, has also been charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Salcedo was arrested on March 11, 2024, at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus.

According to the authorities, the incident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, when the Jersey City Police Department received a report of shots fired on Jordan Avenue. Responding officers found a crime scene on Jordan Avenue between Mercer Street and Vroom Street, where three male victims had self-transported to the Jersey City Medical Center.Tragically, one of the victims, Christoph Terrero Marte, a 33-year-old resident of Jersey City, was pronounced dead at approximately 7:35 a.m. The two other victims, a 28-year-old male from Union City and a 31-year-old male from Jersey City, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the hospital.
