A community meeting regarding the proposed redevelopment at 601-619 Newark Street in Hoboken will be held on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at 6:30 PM. The Project Architect and members of the Development Team will present the project and answer questions from members of the public. No action will be taken by the Governing Body. The proposed redevelopment is located in the Southwest Rehabilitation Area, Subarea A, and includes a mixed-use building with nearly 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, an extensive green roof system, over 4,500 square feet of publicly-accessible outdoor plaza space along its rear alleyway, and 60 residential units including 6 affordable housing units. A future potential Redevelopment Agreement may require the redeveloper to provide roadway improvements in the Newark Street corridor.
