Jersey City Officers and Residents Discuss Ongoing Police Issues

Conversation took place between officers from Jersey City, and community members, regarding issues such as police accountability, transparency in policing, and use of force. The event took place at St. John’s Baptist Church, where residents and officers looked to find a solution for these problems that trouble the Nation. Questions were taken from many Hudson County locals, and answered by First Assistant Prosecutor Peter Stoma. Stoma also explained the new training to soon take place for officers, in hopes of avoiding anything similar to the George Floyd situation in 2020. A new policy that clarifies as to when the use of force is appropriate for officers in any scenario..
