US News and World Report’s annual school rankings evaluates schools based upon graduation rates, academic performance and much more. The 2022 list of best high schools evaluated more than 17,800 schools nationwide, including 355 in New Jersey.
A press release issued by US News and World Report says, “The 2022 ranking of best high schools is intended to show how well the nation’s public schools serve all students, regardless of achievement level, by teaching them basic skills and preparing them for college-level work.
Of all of the New Jersey schools ranked, just one from Hudson County is in the top 100; Dr. Ronald E. McNair High School in Jersey City came in at #68.
Of the 15 top schools ranked nationwide, 14 are located in different states. Here in New Jersey, the top ranked school is Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies in Edison. ranked #23.
