A 25-year old Lodi man was arrested by Hoboken Police on Sunday morning for driving while intoxicated. According to Detective Sergeant Jonathan Mecka, Jessey Asare was stopped by police shortly after 3:40 a.m. at 401 Hudson Street.
According to Mecka, officer Jason Montalvo observed a vehicle facing the opposite direction of travel. At this time, two more officers responded to the area. While on scene the officers met with the owner of the vehicle, Jessey Asare. While talking to Asare the officers determined that he was intoxicated while operating his motor vehicle.
Asare was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and wrong way on a one way street.
He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
