Las máscaras todavía se requieren en el transporte público

With mask wearing requirements having been lifted in New Jersey for virtually every location, there is still one place wear you must still wear masks when in public.  On Public transportation.

After consulting with the United States Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Transportation Security Administration announced on Thursday that it is extending the mask wearing rule for airports, planes, buses and rail systems.  That means masks are still required on NJ Transit, PATH and Amtrak — which all follow federal guidelines — while the CDC develops guidelines to help ease the nationwide mandate.

The mask wearing guideline was due to expire this week, on Match 18, but will now remain in effect until April 18.

In New Jersey, as coronavirus cases continue to drop, state officials, city leaders and local school districts have begun easing certain restrictions.  Effective today, masks are no longer required for state employees or people visiting state offices.  Earlier this month, the mask requirement was lifted for schools and school buses, although districts could still require their implementation if they chose to do so.
