NB C.A.R.E.S. held its annual Christmas Toy Giveaway at the township Recreation Center on Monday, and it was a huge success! According to Aimee Focaraccio, the organization handed out approximately a thousand toys and meals for families to cook. In addition, they will be delivering 600 meals to seniors on Friday.
Focaraccio told Hudson TV she “would like to thank all of the people that donated toys and food to be able to help as many families as we did.” Among those businesses and individuals which donated were Bar One, Eye Contact Vision Center, Yuki’s Bakery, Jaclyn S. Noriega’s family and friends, as well as the generous donors throughout the town and in the schools.
Aimee also gave a huge thank you to all of the Parks Department workers and the amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly to make Monday’s event a success.
In a Facebook post this evening, she stated, “Without you guys none of this would be possible and I am so grateful! Sending thanks to the Mayor and Commissioners goes without saying. They are the reason ANY of this is possible and I am just happy to have the opportunity to facilitate it!”
