Los niños de NHCAC Head Start reciben juguetes mientras los padres son vacunados en la Feria de la Salud en WNY

On Friday May 14th, the annual Head Start Health Fair would take place in the parking lot behind Our Lady of Libera School in West New York. Head Start is a development program for young children of low income families to be served at no cost. The event would give out toys to all children, but with one caveat.. The child’s parent MUST get vaccinated at the site, which was provided for all parents willing to do so.

The primary motivation for getting as many vaccinated as possible was quite simple.. There have not been nearly enough vaccinations across Hudson County as there should be. In fact, the demand for vaccinations have been slowing down in recent times.
