The Town of West New York is now providing the Pfizer booster shot, the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, to eligible senior citizens aged 65 and older and persons who qualify due to underlying, health conditions. The booster vaccine is available several times per week at Memorial High School.
The Town is providing the booster through an arrangement with Holy Name Medical Center. Once the Town administers the Pfizer booster shots to its own senior citizen population, the Memorial High School venue will be open to any Hudson County resident who qualifies.
The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are expected to receive authorization shortly for their version of the booster shots.
