A relatively new program at Union City High School is teaching students the basics of the culinary arts and hospitality industry. On Friday, senior citizens from the Bella Vista Apartments tasted what the students prepared,
as they were treated to a delicious meal, followed by a performance of Chicago by the high school’s drama department in the Performing Arts Center.
The Culinary Arts curriculum began at Union City High School two years ago. Currently, Mr. Oriani is the only culinary instructor, although the Board of Education hopes to add more teachers in the future.
