NJ TRANSIT ANNOUNCES SERVICE LEVELS FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd
South Jersey Buses, ACRL and South Jersey Access Link Region 3 Will Operate On Regular Weekday Schedules; River LINE Sunday Schedule; HBLR Weekend Schedule; Delayed Starts or Continued Suspensions On All Other North and Central Jersey Services
NEWARK, NJ — NJ TRANSIT will resume regular weekday schedules for most services in South Jersey on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, but due to continuing significant impacts of the snowstorm, most services in North and Central Jersey will remain suspended until further notice and will resume as weather conditions permit. NJ TRANSIT will be working closely with state, county and local agencies to coordinate service resumption with local and county snow removal schedules. Please see below for systemwide service information.
Systemwide cross honoring will be in effect for rail, NJ TRANSIT & private carrier buses, and light rail. NJ TRANSIT tickets and passes will be accepted for travel on PATH at Hoboken and 33rd St. beginning at 11am. PATH service remains suspended at Newark Penn until further notice.
Important Note: Service on Tuesday, February 2, may be subject to delays or cancellations. All customers should allow for extra travel time and are strongly encouraged to customize their service alerts on the NJ TRANSIT mobile app to receive updates via push notifications, monitor MyTransit Alerts, social media and njtransit.com for the latest service information
South Jersey Service
Regular weekday service will resume at the start of the service day, Tuesday February 2nd, for South Jersey buses and Access Link Region 3. River LINE will operate on a Sunday schedule. Atlantic City Rail Line will continue operating regular weekday service. South Jersey buses resuming full weekday service include: Bus Route Nos. 313/315, 317, 400, 401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 406, 407, 408, 409, 410, 412, 413, 414, 417, 418, 419, 450, 451, 452, 453, 455, 457, 459, 460, 463, 501, 502, 504, 505, 507, 508, 509, 510, 551, 552, 553, 554, 555, 559, 600, 601, 603, 605, 606, 607, 608, 609, 612, 613, 619, 624
North & Central New Jersey Bus Service
Northern and Central New Jersey buses, including routes serving the Newark-area and Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City, will remain suspended until further notice. NJ TRANSIT will be working closely with state, county and local agencies to coordinate service resumption with local and county snow removal schedules. Service resumption times remain dependent on weather and road conditions, and coordination with local and county officials. Bus customers should customize their service alerts on the NJ TRANSIT mobile app to receive push notifications, monitor MyTransit Alerts, social media and njtransit.com for service resumption information.
Rail Service
Pascack Valley, Main/Bergen County/Port Jervis, Montclair-Boonton, Morristown and Gladstone Branch rail lines will remain suspended until further notice and will resume as weather conditions permit. Service will resume as soon as weather conditions permit safe operation. Upon resumption, these rail lines will operate on Severe Weather Schedule Level 2. Rail customers should customize their service alerts on the NJ TRANSIT mobile app to receive push notifications, monitor MyTransit Alerts, social media and njtransit.com for service resumption information.
Northeast Corridor (NEC), North Jersey Coast (NJCL) and Raritan Valley (RVL) rail lines will resume service at approximately 9 a.m. and will operate on Severe Weather Schedule Level 2. The first trains to depart their origins are as follows:
- Trenton (NEC): 8:59 a.m., tren 7820
- Nueva York (NEC): 9:15 a.m., tren 7829

Newark & Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Service
On Tuesday, February 2nd, Newark Light Rail will remain suspended until further notice and will resume as weather conditions permit. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will resume at the start of the service day and operate on a Saturday/Sunday schedule for the entire service day. Light rail customers should customize their service alerts on the NJ TRANSIT mobile app to receive push notifications, monitor MyTransit Alerts, social media and njtransit.com for service resumption information.
Access Link Service
Access Link service in Region 3 (south Jersey) will operate on a regular weekday schedule. Access Link service in Regions 2, 4, 5 & 6 in central and north Jersey will remain suspended until further notice. NJ TRANSIT will be working closely with state, county and local agencies to coordinate service resumption with local and county snow removal schedules. NJ TRANSIT is extremely sensitive to the needs of our Access Link customers, however the local roads that are predominantly used by Access Link vehicles have been particularly hard hit. NJ TRANSIT will resume Access Link service in these regions as soon as it can be done safely and responsibly. In the meantime, NJ TRANSIT is accepting reservations for Wednesday, February 3rd. Customers can visit njtransit.com, follow Access Link on social media, or call 1-800-955-ADA1 (2321) to speak to a representative.
NJ TRANSIT’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be open and closely monitoring weather forecasts and conditions. NJ TRANSIT crews will continue to work during the overnight hours throughout the system removing snow and addressing any storm-related damages. Key personnel will monitor any impacts to the system throughout the duration of the storm.
