North Bergen’s Woodcliff Community Reformed Church, located at 7605 Palisade Avenue, for the 13th year, will be proving a Thanksgiving luncheon tomorrow for individuals and families in need. Due to COVID concerns, all meals will be pick up and go.
The meals may be picked up between 11 am and 2 pm.
Prior to the pandemic, the church would provide sit down dinners for approximately 500 people. With COVID in full swing last year, the church provided 900 to go meals. With the number of individuals looking for a hot meal this holiday seemingly on the rise due to loss of employment, the church is again stepping up to the plate.
Chefs John Burnett and Jimmy Tamuella have volunteered their time to prepare the meals.
The church will hold a Thanksgiving Day service with Pastor Greg Dunlap beginning at 9:30 am. It will be live streamed on woodcliff.org and at facebook@woodcliffreformedchurch.
As they have for years, the church is also providing Union City’s PERC Homeless Shelter on 37th Street with Thanksgiving dinners.
Tomorrow’s meals and volunteer efforts have been organized by Pastor Greg, Win Powers and Angela Evertz who wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
