A shooting took place in Paterson this afternoon, with two women, one aged 23 from Bloomfield and the other aged 21 from Paterson suffering non-life threatening injuries.
According to a press release from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, “…at approximately 3:44 p.m. on January 3, 2022, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of East 23rd Street and Hamilton Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene, but no victim was located. A short time later, members of the Paterson Police Department were notified that…(2 women) had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey via private vehicle seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.”
The investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
