A North Bergen holiday tradition returns later this week.

Mayor Nick Sacco and the North Bergen Board of Commissioners are thrilled to invite residents and visitors to Toy Story Winterfest 2025, returning bigger and more exciting than ever this Thursday, December 4th from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM along Bergenline Avenue between 76th and 85th Streets. A rain date is scheduled for December 5.

In a statement, Mayor Sacco said, “Winterfest has always been about bringing our community together in the spirit of joy and celebration.  Each year, we work to make it even more memorable for our families, and this year’s event will be our most exciting celebration yet. I hope to see everyone… children, parents, grandparents, and neighbors…join us for this magical night.”

For more than 30 years Mayor Sacco has made Winterfest one of North Bergen’s most beloved annual traditions. Last year, despite rainy weather, thousands of families turned out for a spectacular night of bounce houses, ice skating, giveaways, live music, and holiday cheer. The event’s continued success has transformed Winterfest into a cornerstone of the holiday season, uniting the community year after year.

This year, Winterfest promises even more excitement with a full Toy Story themed extravaganza, featuring one of the township’s largest lineups of attractions to date. Guests will enjoy an array of bounce houses including Toy Story, Candyland, Snowman, Gingerbread, and Mickey & Minnie, along with obstacle courses, a rock wall, Hippo Chow Down, Penguin Escape, Reindeer Challenge, Soccer Darts, Game Mobile, and more. The popular ice skating rink returns, along with the train ride, and a full cast of beloved characters including: Santa and Mrs. Claus, elves, reindeer, Bluey, Cocomelon’s JJ, Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Potato Head, the Abominable Snowman, and many others.

Families can receive free photos with Santa, courtesy of Mayor Sacco, at Atlantic Carpets. located at 77th Street & Bergenline Avenue, throughout the evening. The Township will also offer free shuttle service to ensure all residents can participate.  Additional entertainment will include holiday music, festive displays, and many surprises that make Winterfest a signature North Bergen tradition.
