Un hombre de la Nueva York arrestado con arma de mano como parte de la investigación de Narcóticos de Bergen del Norte

On Thursday, October 6, 2022, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Gang Task Force recovered a firearm and arrested a 31-year-old man as part of a narcotics investigation in North Bergen.

According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, Ramon Lopez-Arias of West New York is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, a crime of the second degree; possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute (Cocaine), a crime of the third degree; and possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, a crime of the second degree.

The Gang Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of 2810 Paterson Plank Road after receiving information that Lopez-Arias was in possession of a weapon and narcotics. During a court authorized search of the vehicle Lopez-Arias was operating, a handgun, suspected cocaine, and 129 rounds of ammunition were recovered.

The above charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
